The College of Education
Committed to the Success of our Students, our Future
UTEP’s College of Education offers students and the Paso del Norte community opportunities for study, professional growth, research, collaboration, and community service. The College consistently rates among the best schools in the country for bilingual and multilingual education and, in 2014, the was ranked #1 in the nation for bachelor’s degrees in Education awarded to Hispanics by Hispanic Outlook in Higher Education Magazine. The College is home to more than 3,000 students studying at the undergraduate, Master’s and doctoral levels and our talented and award-winning faculty including Fulbright Scholars and the University of Texas System Regents’ Outstanding Teaching Award recipients. The mission of the College of Education is to prepare effective teachers, counselors, diagnosticians, and school administrators, who successfully address the problems of schools and other youth serving agencies, especially in communities with a significant Hispanic population. This, combined with innovative instruction, cooperation with community outreach programs and area school districts, cutting-edge research, and talented students and faculty, makes our College of Education one of the best in the nation.
