UTEP DINNER THEATRE FUN FACTS!

  • The only full time university dinner theatre in the nation
  • Prepares 184 meals per performance
  • Requires 125 actors, musicians and technicians per show
  • Auditions are open to El Paso and New Mexico community members
  • Provides production and acting opportunities to UTEP students
  • Was started by a UTEP undergraduate theatre student who is now the director
  • The first production on March 10, 1983 was staged in UTEP’s old Student Union Ballroom
  • The first performance had a $250 production budget
